Constructive Evaluation 2023 Year in Review
In an effort to try and make this a yearly tradition, we’re back again with a review of Constructive Evaluation’s year.
Around the World?
Those of you who read our review last year, may remember (but probably won’t) that our total mileage came to just over 21,000 miles, agonisingly close to the 24,000 mile equivalent of a circumnavigation of the world. We set the resolution to achieve that distance this year and we’re pleased to say mission accomplished.
Our departments have wracked more than a staggering 30,000 road miles this year. Not only is that more than a trip round the globe, you’d also have enough miles left over to travel from our office in Ford to Tokyo.
A large part of that achievement is thanks to a new division we set up this year, under the guidance of our parent company, the SML Group. Our new subsidence division specialises in deep datum installs, trial pitting, level and crack monitoring. Eager to hit the ground running, the subsidence division alone wracked up close to 11,300 miles this year, including epic road trips to Catterick, Hull and even some sites in Northern Ireland.
Below we have compiled a map of every job undertaken this year. You will find an approximate location and details on the works undertaken. Why not take a look to see if we’ve worked near you? PLEASE NOTE: To protect the privacy of our clients, none of the locations are exact. If map doesn’t load, please try refreshing your browser
Going Viral
This calendar year has seen last year’s website visitor record broken again. 2023 saw celtduk.com receive over 27,000 unique visitors. That’s a 15% rise on 2022’s 24,000 visitors.
When we set out to overhaul our website in 2021, one of our key aims was create a website that not only promoted Constructive Evaluation and its services, but could also be informative and used to educate people on the various disciplines of Building Surveying and Geotechnical engineering. With 31% of our traffic coming from 98 countries and territories outside of the UK, it’s fair to say, we’ve achieved that aim.
We’d also like our international visitors to know that we don’t exclusively work in the UK. We have worked in Ireland and continental Europe in the past. We are very open to traveling, especially if you happen to have jobs in tropical climates.
The map below showcases our global visitors. Can you see yourself?

237 Cores
373 Usable Electromagnetic Scans
