In a change of pace from our usual blogs on the services we offer, this month we thought we’d review Constructive Evaluation’s year.
It’s been a bumper year for us with enquiries and works exceeding pre-pandemic levels for the first time.
Globe Trotting
Our Surveying and geotechnical departments have wracked more than a whopping 21,000 road miles this year. To put that figure in perspective, that’s the equivalent of traveling to Melbourne in Australia and back again! Even more amazing is that we were only 3,000 miles short of achieving a distance equal to a circumnavigation of the world. Something to aim for next year.
Perhaps the highlight of the year; and our furthest trip, saw our surveying department travel to Cork in Ireland. This was Constructive Evaluation’s first trip to Ireland and the first works outside of the United Kingdom in a decade.
Below we have compiled a map of every job undertaken this year. You will find an approximate location and details on the works undertaken. Why not take a look to see if we’ve worked near you? PLEASE NOTE: To protect the privacy of our clients, none of the locations are exact. If map doesn’t load, please try refreshing your browser.
Going Viral
2022 marks the first full year of our current website. In 2021; unhappy with the performance of our then website, we decided to move development in-house. The results have been better than we hoped. This calendar year has seen record numbers of visitors to our site with more than 24,000 unique visitors. That’s an improvement of 1,422% based on last year’s numbers. We’ve also seen an increase in international visitors. 37% of visits came from 101 countries outside of the UK. These numbers also reflect favourably on our enquiries, up 25% on last year, including some international enquiries from Ireland, Belgium, France and the UAE.
The map below showcases our global visitors. Can you see yourself?
‘Tis the Season
Finally, given the time of year, we’ve made a half-hearted attempt to review the year as our own version of the 12 days of Christmas. We can only apologise in advance:
12 Ongoing Gas & Groundwater Monitoring Jobs
11:30 Sausage man arrives (Food Van for Bubba)
10 New Recruits
9 Hours spent on a ferry roundtrip to Ireland
8 Geotechnicians
7 Cars Liam has had this year
6 Trips to Huddersfield
5 Hundred + Enquiries
4 Building Surveyors
3 Office Dogs
2 Broken Toilets
1 Cursed Van (Broken key, lost key, bent side door & breakdown)
If you’re not already doing so, and you’d like to see more pictures of our office dogs (as well as more relevant, job site photos), follow us on Instagram. We’re also on LinkedIn and Twitter (if it survives the year). Merry Christmas and all the best in the new year from everyone at Constructive Evaluation. Thank you for your custom this year and we look forward to seeing many of you on sites in 2023. Our office will reopen on 3rd January.
